HOW TO REGISTER A TRADEMARK IN THAILAND

I. Required documents

The required documents for preparing a trademark application are follows: 

Company case

a notarized Power of Attorney (POA) from the applicant as per form attached.  

Individual case

a notarized POA from the applicant as per form attached; 

a certified true copy of the applicant’s passport or applicant’s identity card with a simple English translation.

For immediate proceeding, you may send us a scanned copy firstly and forward the original later by courier.  

* Note: The signing on behalf of any foreign legal entity must be notarized as to its juristic status, the authority of the signatory and the authenticity of the signature.

 

II. General time frame of trademark registration in a smooth case

  • Trademark search: within 1-3 working days

  • A trademark registration for smooth case normally takes about 12-18 months from the filing date.
