HOW TO RENEWAL VALIDITY OF A TRADEMARK REGISTRATION IN VIETNAM

I. Required documents

1. An original Power of Attorney signed by trademark owner (under our form);
2. Class(es) of goods/services subject to be renewed;
3. (Optional) An original Certificate of Trademark Registration (TRC) in case the trademark owner wishes to record in the original certificate. Otherwise, this document is not compulsory.

Notes:

• The trademark owner shall renew the validity of TRC by filing an application of renewal to the NOIP within six (06) months before the expiration date of registration. 06 months grace period is acceptable by the NOIP and the late-filing fees will be applied.
• All the documents are required at filing time.

 II. Time limit

Under IP regulations, it takes 01 month for recordal of renewal for a TRC.
