Industrial design renewal in Vietnam

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

1. An original Power of Attorney signed by the design owner (under our form);
2. (Optional) An original Design patent in case the design owner wishes to record in the original patent. Otherwise, this document is not compulsory.

Notes:

• The design owner shall renew the validity of the design patent by filing an application of renewal to the  NOIP within six (06) months before the expiration date of the design patent six-month grace period is acceptable by the NOIP and the late-filing fees will be applied.

• All the documents are required at filing time.

TIME LIMIT

Under IP regulations, it takes 01 months for record of renewal for a design patent.
