Nguyen Thuy Linh has been accused of purchasing goods of unknown origin, and then labeling and packaging them as Marshall headphones and Bluetooth speakers for sale on the market.
According to the People’s Police newspaper, the Tay Ho District Police Investigation Agency in Hanoi has issued a decision to prosecute the case, charge the defendant, and restrict Nguyen Thuy Linh (born in 1997 and residing in Tay Mo Ward, Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi) from leaving her place of residence. She is charged with “Infringement of industrial property rights” under Article 226 of the Criminal Code.
The Capital Security Newspaper reported that on March 18, 2023, the Buoi Ward Police coordinated with the Economic Police Team of Tay Ho District, the Hanoi Market Management Department, and other authorities to inspect a warehouse at Lane 218, Lac Long Quan Street.
Authorities discovered nearly 10,000 wireless headphones and Bluetooth speakers, branded with the famous Marshall label, alongside Series 8 Smartwatch watches, Hiwach 8 Big 1.92, and Hitachi vacuum cleaner robots, among other items with labels and warranty cards.
During the investigation, it was determined that Nguyen Thuy Linh had purchased these goods of unknown origin, and then labeled and packaged them as Marshall headphones and Bluetooth speakers for sale. The estimated value of the seized goods exceeds 9 billion Dongs.
Currently, Tay Ho District Police are consolidating the case to handle Nguyen Thuy Linh and related individuals under the law.
