On June 18, 2019, the delegation of the Intellectual Property Agency of Russian Federation (Rospatent) that led by Mr. Grigory Ivliev visited and worked with the NOIP.
Overview of the meeting between NOIP and Rospatent
At the meeting, Mr. Dinh Huu Phi affirmed that the NOIP and Rospatent had a nice tradition of cooperation. Vietnam and the Russian Federation had signed two important IP-related agreements, especially the NOIP and Rospatent signed a Memorandum of Understanding on IP in 2013. He said that the two sides had a solid foundation to develop cooperative relationships. He expressed his thanks to Rospatent for the technical support and cooperative activities in the past time.
During the visit to Vietnam, Rospatent’s leader exchanged information and discussed the possibility of cooperation with the NOIP in the following areas: automation in the electronic filing system; applying artificial intelligence in patent searches; strengthening information technology system; studying the possibility of exchanging data between two agencies for purpose of patent examination; exchanging cooperation possibilities in speeding up PPH program; sharing experiences in patent analysis and patent information; the possibility of cooperation in training personnel in Russia; commercialization of IP assets.
