Implement Plan No. 21/KH-QLTTHN dated November 15, 2023, of the Hanoi Market Surveillance Department on market inspection and control, handling violations in the last months of 2023 and the New Year, before, during the Lunar New Year Giap Thin 2024 in Hanoi city. On November 22 and 23, 2023, after the process of understanding the field of commercial fraud on trademark-infringing goods, Market Management Team No. 1 coordinated with the Representative of the SKF trademark owner.
To assess counterfeit goods at the time of inspection, Market Management Team No. 1 conducted special inspections at the following facilities:
At the time of inspection, the business used the e-commerce websites “https://vongbitruongthanh.vn” and “https://vongbitruongthanh.com” for e-commerce activities. On the website there is not enough information about the website owner and information about the goods according to regulations;
The website provides information about counterfeit SKF branded products on the internet environment, specifically information and images of counterfeit SKF branded products on the sales e-commerce website with the domain name: https://vongbitruongthanh.com.
The inspection team temporarily detained 3,234 bearing products of all kinds with signs of counterfeiting the SKF trademark, which is protected in Vietnam.
At the time of inspection, the business establishment using the e-commerce website “https://vongbilamdaiphat.com” published incomplete and inaccurate information on the e-commerce website of the website owner according to regulations. The inspection team temporarily seized 796 bearing products of all kinds showing signs of counterfeiting the SKF trademark, which is protected in Vietnam.
Legal representatives of the above companies admitted the violations. To ensure the handling of the case under the law, Market Management Team No. 1 requested the representative of the owner of the protected SKF trademark to respond in writing confirming counterfeit goods and related acts.
Currently, the case continues to be verified clarified, and handled according to the provisions of law.
