IMPORTANT NOTICE FROM VIETNAM INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OFFICE

Dear Colleagues,

Vietnam Intellectual Property Office (VNIPO) has just issued Notice No. 2024/TB-SHTT (dated June 3, 2025), officially launching the issuance and verification of electronic copies of application dossiers, documents, and industrial property certificates. This change brings several benefits:

1. Once the filling request is approved, VNIPO will immediately send an email containing:
   1. Application number / Certificate number
   2. Link to access the electronic document
   3. Secure retrieval code
   4. You can access, view, download, and store your documents.
2. Cost Savings & Environmental Protection
   1. Minimizes printing and postage costs;
   2. Electronic documents carry the same legal validity as paper originals
3. Paper Option Available When Needed
   1. VNIPO will still send documents by post or provide them directly at the One-Stop Counter upon request.
